As we approach the end of another successful business year, we’re thrilled to share that the final piece of our factory re-layout project has fallen into place! The Stuga ZX5 has been relocated, completing the new layout that ensures every machine is now in its optimal position to enhance production flow. With this transformation, we’re ready to hit the ground running in 2025!
The new layout has also created space for two new Sturtz welders, complete with automated feeding into a four-head automatic corner cleaner, which is set to arrive in early May 2025. This solution was decided on with close support and collaboration with Ed Williams and Danny Jones from Sturtz, ensuring that it improves efficiency, enhances safety, elevates product quality, and increases capacity across our operations.
This project has been a monumental effort since kicking off in February. Thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our staff and suppliers, we’ve achieved incredible progress while maintaining safety and minimizing disruptions to production. A huge shoutout goes to AES (Ryan & Jamie), DMT (Eric), and Sturtz (Darren) for their outstanding support in making all the machinery moves seamless and ahead of schedule.
With the re-layout complete, we’re turning our full focus to the 5G Innovation Project in collaboration with East Ayrshire Council. As part of this exciting initiative, we’ve been running a trial of digital paperwork management on-site during installation for a number of weeks, which has been very successful. We’re excited to announce that this will officially launch in manufacturing in January 2025. This marks a significant leap forward in improving our data management processes and enhancing the support we provide to our customers.
As we wrap up 2024, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff for their hard work and resilience, and to our customers for their continued trust and support. These updates are just the beginning of what’s to come in 2025—stay tuned for more as we continue to build a smarter and more efficient future!
