Scotia Windows & Doors are counting down the days to September’s grand opening of our brand new head office, manufacturing facility and showroom in Kilmarnock.
The 30,000 sq ft building has been purpose-built to meet the needs of our growing business, and will comprise of a welcoming reception area, modern showroom, state-of-the-art production facility and mezzanine floor for office staff.
Over Scotia’s 35 year history the number of production areas increased from one to five sites to keep up with demand. Going forward the whole production process will be streamlined under one roof in the new modern building.
In addition to investing in the new premises, Scotia are also investing £700,000 in two state-of-the-art front end cutting machines. Greater efficiencies will be achieved and production capacity could increase to 1,600 u-PVC window frames per week.
Importantly, the new development will also boost Scotia’s environmental credentials as we move from a traditional industrial estate to a modern, light and bright custom-built facility. There will be a substantial reduction in production waste, power and electricity and a focus to increase the recycling processes.
Office staff will enjoy a pleasant working environment with a bright open plan working area with air conditioning, and the new site will of course have disability access and lifts.
We look forward to welcoming existing and potential customers to our new showroom that will display our extensive range of high-quality windows and doors. The 59,000 sq ft site is easily accessible from the M77 and will provide ample car parking for staff and visitors.
