Scotia staff climb Ben Lomond to raise £1695 for Cash for Kids

Scotia staff donned their walking boots and rucksacks to raise £1695 for the Cash for Kids project at Whiteleys Retreat, by Alloway.

13 members of staff from across the company climbed Ben Lomond on Saturday 11th August. Martin Smith, Scotia Director, and his team were accompanied by their four legged friends Fergus the Scotia Scottie and Shelby the Labrador. Thankfully the sun shone throughout the 6 hour hike and stunning views of the length of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs were enjoyed from the peak of the 974m Munro.

The money raised will help fund an outdoor play park in the grounds of Whiteley’s Retreat, a fantastic facility providing therapeutic short breaks for children, young people and their families affected by cancer and other life altering illnesses in the UK.

Even though he has tiny wee legs, Scotia Scottie Fergus managed to get to the top!
